At FreshTrends, every piece is handcrafted from solid 14k gold, 18k gold, and platinum by our team of jewelers in California. Fine piercing jewelry should last for a lifetime when made correctly and worn responsibly. Our warranty reflects that standard.

What the Lifetime Warranty Covers

This warranty protects against manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship for the lifetime of the jewelry’s intended use.

If a defect is confirmed, we repair or replace the piece at no charge.

Examples of defects covered:

  • Failure of solder joints or components that detach without trauma
  • Threading or mechanism issues caused by improper cutting or machining
  • Porosity-related breakage in gold casting
  • Stone-setting defects that cause a gemstone to loosen or fall out under normal wear
  • Hinge or clasp failure not caused by force or bending

These issues are rare, but if they occur, they are fully covered.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

Lifetime warranty does not extend to damage caused by misuse, accidents, or normal wear.

This includes situations where the failure did not originate from manufacturing.

Not covered:

  • Snagging, bending, crushing, dropping, sleeping on delicate pieces, or any physical trauma
  • Over-tightened threading or forced assembly
  • Customer-performed repairs, modifications, or installation attempts
  • Damage caused by improper tools
  • Exposure to chemicals, pools, hot tubs, or cleaning solutions
  • Normal wear-and-tear, scratches, or gold dulling over time
  • Lost jewelry, lost parts, or missing gems
  • Damage caused by anatomy-related pressure or improper sizing

Gold is a soft metal. Treating fine jewelry as if it were equipment or using excessive force voids coverage.

What “Lifetime” Means

“Lifetime” refers to the expected lifespan of well-maintained, solid-gold body jewelry worn in its intended location.

Environmental conditions, lifestyle, installation method, anatomy, and daily habits affect longevity.

If damage results from lifestyle, accidents, or external force, it is not considered a defect and falls outside the warranty.

How to File a Warranty Request

To request service, provide:

  1. Order number or proof of purchase
  2. Clear photos of the issue
  3. A brief description of how the piece is worn and how the issue occurred

Most claims can be evaluated remotely. In some cases, the jewelry must be sent in for inspection.
If the issue is covered, we repair or replace it free of charge.
If it is not covered, we provide a paid repair quote before any work is done.


How To Start A Repair

Step 1: Contact our customer service team at support@freshtrends.com, to request a repair. Include your name, order number, email associated with the order and photos of the item needing repairs. We will provide you with a repair invoice (if applicable) and a return shipping label.

Step 2: Please make certain that the product is in its original packaging and in a shipping box of the same size, as a different box may incur additional courier fees. We won't be able to accept the return if you send the item in an envelope since it might get further damaged. We are not responsible for jewelry damaged or lost in transit if other shipping means are used.

Step 3: Check your email for the return shipping label. If you do not see the label in your email, please check your spam or promotions folders.

Step 4: Print the label, stick it on the box, give or take it to the carrier to ship the item back to us.

Please allow approximately 3-4 weeks from the time we receive it to complete the repair process. Once processed, we will send you a confirmation email with a tracking number letting you know your item has been sent back to you.

  • Repair of accidental damage
  • Discounted remakes of severely damaged pieces
